This two-bit non-inverting translator is a bidirectional voltage level translator that can be used to establish digital switching compatibility between mixed voltage systems. It uses two independently configurable power rails, where the A port supports a 1.65V to 3.6V operating voltage range while tracking the VCCA supply, and the B port supports a 2.3V to 5.5V operating voltage range while tracking the VCCB supply. As a result, the device is capable of supporting lower and higher logic signal levels, while being able to switch between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes arbitrarily in both directions.
When the output enable (OE) input is low, all inputs/outputs are in a high impedance state, significantly reducing power supply quiescent current consumption.
To ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, OE should be tied to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor depends on the driver's current-sourcing capability.
