The TPS7A03 is an ultra-small, ultra-low quiescent current low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) that can source 200mA with excellent transient performance.
The TPS7A03 has ultra-low IQ (200nA) and is designed for applications where ultra-low quiescent current is a critical parameter. The device maintains low IQ consumption even in dropout mode to further extend battery life. In shutdown or disable mode, the device consumes ultra-low (3nA IQ), helping to extend battery shelf life. The TPS7A03 output voltage ranges from 0.8V to 5.0V in 50mV steps to support lower core voltages of modern microcontrollers (MCUs).
The TPS7A03 is equipped with a smart enable circuit with an internal controlled pull-down resistor that keeps the LDO disabled even when the EN pin is left floating, helping to minimize the external components used to pull down the EN pin. This circuit also helps minimize current flow in the external pull-down circuit when the device is disabled.
The TPS7A03 is specified to operate from TJ = –40°C to +125°C.
