The TPS563201 and TPS563208 are easy-to-use 3-A synchronous step-down converters in a Small Outline Transistor (SOT)-23 package. Both devices are optimized to minimize external components required for operation and achieve low standby current. These switch-mode power supply (SMPS) devices use D-CAP2 mode control to provide fast transient response and support low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as polymers and ultra- Low ESR ceramic capacitors. The TPS563201 can operate in pulse-skipping mode to maintain high efficiency during light-load operation. The TPS563201 and TPS563208 are available in a 6-pin 1.6mm × 2.9mm SOT (DDC) package and are specified for the junction temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.
