The device's configurable rise time greatly reduces inrush currents caused by bulk load capacitors, thereby reducing or eliminating supply voltage drops. Undervoltage lockout is used to shut down the device when the VIN voltage falls below the threshold to ensure that downstream circuits are not damaged due to the supply voltage falling below the expected value. A configurable Quick Output Discharge (QOD) pin controls the fall time of the device for flexible design against power-down.
