A high-performance microcontroller family for safety systems is the TMS5701227CZWTQQ1 chip. The safety architecture features parity on peripheral memories, dual CPUs operating in lockstep, CPU and memory BIST logic, ECC on both flash and data SRAM, and loopback functionality on peripheral I/Os. With variants that can operate up to 180 MHz and provide up to 298 DMIPS, the TMS5701227CZWTQQ1 combines the ARM Cortex-R4F floating-point CPU, which provides an effective 1.66 DMIPS/MHz. The word-invariant big-endian [BE32] format is supported by the device.
