In order to prevent damage to the PTC thermistors, these devices are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) for safety reasons. PTC thermistors should operate at -55°C. The operating temperature of this thermistor must not exceed 150°C. Ideally, the thermistor should be able to handle and conduct this power loss without overheating.
