In order to protect the PTC thermistors from damage, they are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. Packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR), these PTC thermistors are safe to handle. Temperature -55°C is the minimum operating temperature for PTC thermistors. There must not be an increase in temperature above 150°C for this thermistor to work. There should be no possibility of the thermistor overheating as a result of this power loss.
