To protect the devices from damage, PTC thermistors are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. Packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR), these PTC thermistors are safe to handle. There are 2 terminations on the PTC thermistor. There should be no possibility of the thermistor overheating as a result of this power loss. This thermistor can supply 40V nominally when in operation. Heat produced by PTC thermistors is rated as 0.1W.
