A 0603 (1608 Metric) package is used to protect PTC thermistors. To provide safety, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). A PTC thermistor should be operated at a minimum operating temperature of -55°C. A temperature of 125°C should not be exceeded during operation of this thermistor. Ideally, the thermistor should be able to handle and conduct this power loss without overheating.
