A 0603 (1608 Metric) package is used to protect PTC thermistors. For safety reasons, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). 2 is the termination of the PTC thermistor. If the thermistor can't transfer and conduct this power loss without overheating, it'll overheat. Heat produced by PTC thermistors has been rated 0.075W.
