It is recommended that the PTC thermistors be packaged in 0603 packages to prevent damage to them. In general, the PTC thermistors should be set to -20°C as their minimum operating temperature. A thermistor must not operate at temperatures exceeding 100°C in order for it to function properly. A thermistor of this type should be able to supply 32V voltage when it is operational. In order to design PTC thermistors for 100μA current, they must have a negative voltage.
