A high-performance 8-bit microcontroller with a maximum clock speed of 48MHz is available from Microchip Technologies. It has 32KB of flash program memory, 2KB of RAM, and 256 bytes of EEPROM. Peripherals for USB 2.0, UART, SPI, I2C, CCP, PWM, ADC, and comparator are included in the PIC18F4550-I/PT. It runs within a 2.0V to 5.5V working voltage range and contains a total of 35 I/O pins. A 44-pin TQFP package with a working temperature range of -40°C to 85°C is available for the PIC18F4550-I/PT.
