An enhanced flash microcontroller with 10-bit A/D with nanoWatt technology is the PIC18F2520-I/SO. Due to design improvements made by the PIC18F2520 family, these microcontrollers are an obvious choice for many high-performance and power-sensitive applications. A number of characteristics in the PIC18F2520 series can dramatically lower operating power consumption. The PIC18F2520 device has an inbuilt oscillator block that produces two distinct clock signals, either of which can be used as the clock source for the microcontroller. It could be unnecessary to use external oscillator circuits on the OSC1 or OSC2 pins as a result. In the final application circuit, the PIC18F2520 microcontroller can be serially programmed. With just two lines for clock and data, three lines for power, ground, and programming voltage, this is easily accomplished.
