The OPA541 device is a power operational amplifier that can operate at a power supply of up to + 40V and provide a continuous output current of up to 5A. The user can use a single external resistor to program the internal current limiting circuit to protect the amplifier and load from fault conditions. OPA541 devices are manufactured using proprietary bipolar and FET processes.
OPA541 uses a single current-limiting resistor to set up positive and negative current-limiting applications, and the hybrid power amplifier currently used requires two current-limiting resistors without modification.
The OPA541 uses an 11-pin power supply plastic package and an industry-standard 8-pin to-3 sealed package. The TO-3 package is isolated from all circuits and can be installed directly on the radiator without special insulators.
