Those are the thermistors that come in a Tape & Reel (TR). 0402 (1005 Metric) includes it as a convenience. A NTC thermistor must have a resistance tolerance of ±3% in order to operate. When setting NTC thermistors to -40°C~125°C, it will ensure reliable performance. Temperatures of 125°C provide reliable operation of NTC thermistors. Optimal reliability requires a minimum temperature of -40°C for NTC thermistors. NTC thermistors must have their 2 pins connected in order to function properly. NTC thermistors can set a maximum power of 100mW. A NTC thermistor is capable of dissipating 100mW of power. If the thermistors are operated at 3.8mA, the fuse element will not deteriorate too much.
