NTC thermistors are packaged as a Tape & Reel (TR). In the 0402 (1005 Metric) package, it is included as a convenience. When it comes to NTC thermistors, they have a resistance tolerance of ±5%. For reliable performance, NTC thermistors should be set to -40°C~125°C. The terminations on these NTC thermistors total 2 for a total of 2 terminations. To make an NTC thermistor work properly, it needs to have the 2 pins connected. It is possible for the electronic component to absorb the power dissipation generated by 0.1W. An NTC thermistor can dissipate a maximum of 100mW. It is possible for NTC thermistors to run at a constant current all the way down to 100μA without deteriorating the fuse element too much.
