In the package of a Tape and Reel, NTC thermistors are contained. As a convenience, the package 0402 includes it. A maximum operating temperature of 150°C ensures that NTC thermistors can operate reliably. Thermistors can operate at -55°C for reliability. Throughout these NTC thermistors, there are 2 terminations. In order for the NTC thermistors to operate correctly, the 2 pins must be connected. It is possible to absorb 0.06W power dissipation by the electronic component.
