MC36231 Overview
In order to protect the PTC thermistors from damage, they are packaged in SMD/SMT packages. A safety package is used to safeguard these PTC thermistors. In general, the PTC thermistors should be set to -40°C as their minimum operating temperature. In order for this thermistor to function properly, the operating temperature must not exceed 85°C. While operating, the PTC thermistors could output 12V voltage. The thermistor supplies 12V voltage nominally when it works. These thermistors are rated for 12V in a DC circuit. A PTC thermistor should produce 1W heat. PTC thermistors should not have a higher current than 100A. As a rule, this thermistor should not produce a voltage higher than 12V in the DC circuit.
