MC36217 Overview
It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in SMD/SMT packages. Packaged in the Cut Tape for safety, these PTC thermistors are designed to perform at high temperatures. Using PTC thermistors at -40°C temperature should be their minimum operating temperature. A thermistor's operating temperature must not exceed 85°C for it to function. The PTC thermistors could supply 8V voltage when it operates. A thermistor can supply 8V voltage when it is working, according to its nominal specifications. These thermistors were rated for 8V voltage in the DC circuit. For PTC thermistors, the current should not exceed 40A. For reliable performance, the maximum voltage supplied by this thermistor should be 8V. During DC operation, this thermistor should not supply more voltage than 8V.
