MC36215 Overview
It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in SMD/SMT packages. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Cut Tape for safety reasons. Setting the minimum operating temperature of PTC thermistors to -40°C is recommended. It is necessary to keep the operating temperature of this thermistor below 85°C to ensure proper operation. When operating, the PTC thermistors provide 6V voltage. A thermistor can supply 6V voltage when it is working, according to its nominal specifications. DC circuits use thermistors rated at 6V voltage. ldeally, PTC thermistors should have a current no higher than 40A. For reliable performance, this thermistor should supply a voltage of 6V. It is important that the voltage supplied by this thermistor in the DC circuit should not be higher than 6V.
