MC36178 Overview
Radial packages are used for PTC thermistors to prevent the devices from being damaged. Temperature -40°C is the minimum operating temperature for PTC thermistors. In order for this thermistor to work properly, the operating temperature must not exceed 85°C. As a result, PTC thermistors may supply 16V voltage at all times. The DC circuit uses thermistors with a 16V voltage rating. When PTC thermistors produce heat, they should be at 2.8W.
