MC33198 Overview
A SMD/SMT package is used to protect the PTC thermistors from damage. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Cut Tape for safety reasons. The minimum operating temperature for the PTC thermistors should be set to -40°C. It is important that this thermistor does not operate at a temperature above 85°C. When the PTC thermistors operate, they supply 33V. When working, this thermistor supplies a voltage of 33V nominally. The voltage for which these thermistors are rated is 33V in a DC circuit. PTC thermistors should produce 1.5W heat. A PTC thermistor should not have a current greater than 40A. For reliable performance, this thermistor should supply 0 volts.
