MC33171 Overview
For protection, PTC thermistors are contained in Radial packages. Temperature -40°C is the minimum operating temperature for PTC thermistors. Ensure this thermistor is working at 85°C by keeping its operating temperature below that. It is possible for PTC thermistors to provide voltages of 90V when they are operating. The thermistors are rated for 90V voltage in the DC circuit. It is recommended that PTC thermistors produce 410mW heat.
