MC33157 Overview
To protect the devices from damage, PTC thermistors are packaged in Radial packages. A minimum operating temperature of -40°C should be set for the PTC thermistors. There must be no temperature above 85°C for this thermistor to function. It is possible for PTC thermistors to provide voltages of 30V when they are operating. A DC circuit uses 30V to rate these thermistors. It is expected that PTC thermistors produce 600mW heat.
