LTC6992HDCB-4#TRPBF Description


A silicon oscillator with simple analog voltage-controlled pulse width modulation (PWM) capabilities is the LTC®6992. The TimerBlox® series of flexible silicon timing devices includes the LTC6992. The internal master oscillator frequency of the LTC6992 is controlled by a single resistor, RSET. This master oscillator and an inbuilt frequency divider, NDIV, which has eight adjustable values ranging from 1 to 16384, decide the output frequency.

The duty cycle is set by applying a voltage to the MOD pin between 0V and 1V. The minimum and maximum duty cycles of the four models vary. It should be noted that oscillations can be stopped at the extreme duty cycle levels by setting a minimum duty cycle limit of 0% or a maximum duty cycle limit of 100%.
