Texas Instruments LMR14010A Step-Down Converter is a pulse width modulated (PWM) DC-DC step-down regulator with a wide input voltage range of 4V to 40V. These converters operate at a fixed frequency of 0.7MHz, allowing the use of small external components while minimizing output ripple voltage. The device has built-in protection features such as pulse-by-pulse current limit, thermal sensing, and over-power shutdown. The LMR14010A step-down converter features soft-start, low-dropout operation, and Eco-mode™ ultra-high efficiency at light loads. Typical applications include smart meters, appliances, elevators, escalators, and cameras.The LMR14010A step-down converter is optimized for up to 1A load current and 0.765V nominal feedback voltage. Custom designs can be created with the LMR14010A regulator and the WEBENCH ® Power Designer program. The LMR14010A converter is available in a thin TSOT-6L package (2.9mmx1.6mmx0.85mm). These converters are better suited for various applications such as industrial, automotive, etc.
