The LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 synchronous buck regulators are optimized for automotive applications and can provide output voltages of 5V, 3.3V, or an adjustable output voltage. The LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 utilize advanced high-speed circuitry to generate a regulated 3.3V output from an 18V input at a fixed frequency of 2.1MHz. The LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 employ an innovative architecture to provide a regulated 3.3V output from an input voltage of only 3.55V. The device is fully optimized for automotive and performance-driven industry customers. The device operates from input voltages up to 36V and tolerates transient voltages up to 42V, simplifying input surge protection designs. The device is housed in an automotive-qualified Hotrod QFN wettable flank package, which reduces parasitic inductance and resistance while improving efficiency, minimizing switch node ringing, and significantly reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI). The open-drain reset output has built-in filtering and delay to provide a correct indication of system status. This feature eliminates the need for additional supervisory components, saving cost and board space. The device switches seamlessly between PWM and PFM modes, and low quiescent current (15µA for 3.3V option) ensures high efficiency and excellent transient response under all load conditions.
