The ISO772x device is a high-performance dual-channel digital isolator offering UL 1577-compliant 5000VRMS (DW and DWV packages) and 3000VRMS (D package) isolation ratings. These devices are also certified by VDE, TUV, CSA and CQC.
While isolating complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) or low-voltage complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (LVCMOS) digital I/Os, the ISO772x devices provide high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions, while featuring low power consumption. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating barrier. The ISO7720 device has two non-directional channels, while the ISO7721 device has two reverse channels. Devices without the suffix F default to output a high level, and devices with a suffix F default to output a low level if input power or signal is lost. When used with isolated power supplies, these devices help prevent noise currents on data buses or other circuitry from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. With innovative chip design and layout techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO772x devices has been significantly enhanced to mitigate system-level ESD, EFT and surge issues and comply with emissions standards. The ISO772x family of devices is available in 16-pin SOIC wide body (DW), 8-pin SOIC wide body (DWV), and 8-pin SOIC narrow body (D) packages.
