Reed switches should pass 200 mA current through their internal contacts to work with proximity sensors. In DC circuits, proximity sensors can be exposed to a voltage of 32 V without being damaged. There shouldn't be a current lower than 10 V in the DC circuit of proximity sensors. If you want to maximize efficiency, you should set the current of this electronic part to 10 mA.
