A protective Tape & Reel (TR) package is used to protect the magnetic switch against damage. A safety precaution is taken by putting the magnetic switches into TO-236-3, SC-59, SOT-23-3 packages. In order to provide good performance, magnetic switches can supply 2.8mA as the maximum current. Magnetic switches should have a maximum current of 30mA to operate.
