BC547B Description
:
The BC547B is a TO-92 packaging NPN general purpose transistor. It's ideal for usage in audio amplifier driver stages, tape recorder low noise input stages, HI-FI amplifiers, and television reception signal processing circuits, among other applications. The amplification capacity of the BC547B transistor is defined by its gain value, which ranges from 110 to 800. We can't use this transistor to connect loads that utilize more than 100 milliamperes since the maximum current that can flow via the Collector pin is 100 milliamperes. To bias a transistor, we must feed current to the base pin, and this current (IB) should be kept under 5mA. This transistor can allow a maximum of 100mA to flow between the collector and emitter when fully biased. In this stage, termed as the Saturation Region, the voltage allowed across the Collector-Emitter (V-CE) or Base-Emitter (VBE) could be 200 or 900 mV. When the base current is removed, the transistor turns off completely; this stage is known as the Cut-off Region, and the Base Emitter value may be around 660 mV.
