The ARM926EJ-S processor-based AT91SAM9263 32-bit microcontroller is designed on a 9-layer matrix, giving it a maximum internal bandwidth of nine 32-bit buses. Additionally, it has an IDE hard drive and two independent external memory buses, EBI0 and EBI1, that can interface with a variety of memory devices. To ensure peak performance, two external buses eliminate bottlenecks. The AT91SAM9263 integrates a Two D Graphics Controller, a 2-channel DMA Controller, an LCD Controller, and an Image Sensor Interface. Additionally, it incorporates one CAN controller, USART, SPI, TWI, Timer Counters, PWM Generators, Multimedia Card Interface, and several other common peripherals. The AT91SAM9263 is the best option for navigation systems when combined with an external GPS engine.
