APDS-9006-020 Description
The APDS-9006 is a low-cost analog-output ambient light photo sensor with features for temperature and voltage adjustment. It comes in a reverse mount, 4-pin tiny chipLED lead-free surface mount packaging. It is made up of a spectrally appropriate photo sensor that, as shown in figure 2, offers great responsiveness that is comparable to the response of the human eyes.
The APDS-9006 is perfect for applications where ambient light measurement is used to control display backlighting, such as in Note-book, mobile phone, and PDA applications that draw a lot of current from display backlighting. These photo sensor products will benefit from being incorporated into their designs by significantly reducing power consumption. ESS, Automatic Residential and Commercial Lighting Management, and other applications are also available.
