The ADS124S06 and ADS124S08 are high-precision 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that combine low power consumption with integrated features to reduce system cost and component count in small sensor signal measurement applications.

Both ADCs feature configurable digital filters that provide low-latency conversion results and 50Hz or 60Hz noise rejection in noisy industrial environments. The Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) is low-noise and offers gains from 1 to 128 to amplify low-amplitude signals for resistive bridge or thermocouple applications. mm QFN). Additionally, both devices integrate a low-drift 2.5V voltage reference, reducing printed circuit board (PCB) area. Finally, there are two programmable excitation current sources (IDACs) for accurate biasing of resistance temperature detectors (RTDs).

The input multiplexer supports 12 inputs for the ADS124S08 and 6 inputs for the ADS124S06. These inputs can be connected to the ADC in any combination, increasing design flexibility. Additionally, the devices include features such as sensor burnout detection, thermocouple voltage biasing, and system monitoring, as well as four general-purpose I/Os.

Both devices are available in a very thin quad flat no-lead (VQFN)-32 or thin quad flat (TQFP)-32 package.
